Mission Innovation, offered by the Association of Academic Physiatrists through the Physiatry Foundation, provides grants to empower academic departments and training programs in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) to foster cultures of innovation and support. The program recognizes and enhances initiatives in priority areas such as wellness, education innovation, global outreach, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Funding is available for both established ("Champion") and new ("Emerging Star") initiatives, aiming to inspire residents and faculty to achieve shared and individual goals while advancing the field through creative and impactful projects.
