Description
The Missouri Housing Innovation Program (MoHIP), administered by the Missouri Housing Development Commission, competitively funds Coordinated Entry and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) services in Missouri. The program helps Continuums of Care (CoCs) address evolving data needs, reduce coordination burdens across large geographic areas, and sustain and improve HUD-required Coordinated Entry systems.
Coordinated Entry funding supports systems that connect people experiencing homelessness with local resources and prioritize timely assistance for vulnerable households. HMIS funding supports technical assistance, data quality and tracking, and report creation and maintenance. Together, these components aim to streamline programs, reduce administrative burdens, and strengthen CoC performance in serving low-income individuals and families who are literally homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.
