Description
This seed grant program, organized by the MIT Portugal Program and supported by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, aims to foster innovative, interdisciplinary research collaborations addressing major societal challenges. The initiative is designed to support joint projects between MIT and Portuguese institutions in areas including climate science, digital transformation, sustainable cities, nanotechnology, energy, artificial intelligence, and space. The program offers two avenues for collaboration: Joint Integrated Proposals (with funding for both MIT and Portuguese PIs) and Seed Proposals (funding for MIT PIs only, but requiring substantive collaboration with Portuguese partners).
