Description
The Mitacs Globalink Research Award supports research collaborations between Canada and eligible countries through international mobility. Full-time senior undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows conduct research under joint supervision from home and host professors. Projects can involve travel abroad from Canada or travel into Canada, helping participants build or strengthen international research networks.
The program covers all disciplines through its Allocation stream, with participating Canadian universities managing annual internship-unit allocations. A separate Quantum stream supports quantum-sector research without counting against university allocations. Mitacs also offers a G7 AI Adoption Call emphasizing high-quality AI research, real-world translation, and potential adoption by small and medium-sized enterprises. Awards are offered with Canadian academic institution partners and depend on available funding.
