The MMUF Adjunct Faculty Fellowships, administered by the Institute for Citizens & Scholars and funded by The Mellon Foundation, provide alumni of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) with protected time, mentorship, and financial support to advance their research and scholarship. The fellowship aims to help junior scholars—particularly those from historically underrepresented backgrounds—prepare for and secure tenure-track academic positions. Over a six-month period, fellows receive individualized guidance from a senior mentor, professional development opportunities, and access to a supportive peer network.
