Description
The Safety Grant Program is administered by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry through Minnesota OSHA Workplace Safety Consultation (MNOSHA WSC). It supports qualifying employers undertaking projects to reduce workers’ risk of injury and illness. Projects must connect hazards identified in an on-site safety and health survey with specific recommended improvements.
Supported work includes purchasing and installing safety or health equipment, training workers to use purchased equipment, tuition reimbursement, and operating or maintaining safety or health equipment. Purchasing or renting real property may also qualify when necessary to meet the survey’s criteria. Businesses and projects aligned with MNOSHA WSC’s current strategic priorities receive added consideration.
