Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar Teaching/Research award is sponsored by the Universidad de Murcia and hosted in its School of Biology in Spain. It supports postgraduate teaching within the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, including theory and practical lessons in Emerging Technologies in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Scholars also assist with student seminars, journal clubs, and round tables. Courses have a maximum of 20 students, and teaching is conducted in English.
Research connects scholars with host teams working across molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, plant physiology, and bioinformatics. Alongside academic work, the award advances Fulbright’s goal of international understanding and cooperation. Scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with the host community.
