Description
Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) Monitoring Grants support data collection and analysis needed for projects that protect or restore native fish and wildlife habitat or natural watershed functions, including work to improve water quality or stream flows. Projects may describe current conditions, establish long-term trends, or evaluate the effects of restoration or acquisition work.
Supported approaches include regular surveys of watershed conditions, monitoring of a restoration project’s biological, physical, or ecological objectives, and landscape-scale assessment of restoration effects. Projects may measure habitat, streams, vegetation, animals, soil, invasive species, and water quality or quantity. Monitoring questions must connect to relevant local assessments or plans and account for complementary efforts by partners.
