Description
The Monroe County Community Foundation (MCCF), a local affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), awards annual grants for projects and programs benefiting Monroe County residents and communities. Gifts to MCCF’s endowment are invested, and investment earnings fund its annual grants to nonprofits, schools and public organizations.
The program advances opportunities across five “Pillars of Prosperity”: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Its emphasis is on supporting people of all ages who spearhead projects that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash Monroe County’s potential. Funding is also available through the John and Lois Baker Education and Economic Development Fund for Monroe County projects supporting education and economic development.
