The LBJ Foundation awards a limited number of Moody Research Grants, underwritten by The Moody Foundation of Galveston, Texas, for research at the LBJ Library in Austin. The program supports graduate students, teachers, writers, and other researchers working on dissertations, theses, senior papers, publications, and other projects. Funding helps defray living, travel, and related expenses incurred while conducting research at the Library during the awarded grant period.
Proposals should define the research clearly and explain precisely how the Library’s archival holdings will contribute to completing the project. A special faculty committee appointed by the President of The University of Texas at Austin, at the Library’s request, reviews applications. General, vague, or hastily written proposals are not competitive.
