Description
The Morgan Community Fund, a local affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), awards grants with donor support to projects and programs benefiting Morgan County residents and communities. Earnings from its endowment support grants to nonprofits, schools and public organizations. The fund emphasizes work led by people of all ages that creates opportunities, meets pressing needs and unleashes the county’s potential.
Grantmaking spans five “Pillars of Prosperity”: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Alongside its annual grant round for planned programs and activities, the fund offers emerging-needs funding to respond quickly and flexibly to unexpected circumstances and immediate or time-sensitive needs.
