The Mount Vernon Georgian Papers Fellowship is a scholarly exchange administered through the Washington Library in partnership with King's College London. Supported by the Amanda and Greg Gregory Family Fund, it enables research into areas of mutual interest in late-18th-century history and related subjects. The Washington Library fellow spends one month at Mount Vernon and two months in London and Windsor.
The exchange contributes to the Georgian Papers Programme, a collaboration between King's College London and the Royal Collection Trust to digitize, disseminate, study, and interpret correspondence, maps, royal household ledgers, and other primary sources. Its goal is to expand scholarly and public access to these collections and deepen understanding of the Georgian period and its global impact. Fellows' work has encompassed agricultural knowledge, revolutionary material culture, household food practices, loyalism, and architectural history.
