Description
Mozilla Fellows is a Mozilla Foundation program supporting technology leaders who turn ideas for a better technology future into practical alternatives. Fellows develop tools, platforms, creative works, datasets, and other innovations that demonstrate how open, people-centered technology can serve communities. Areas of work include user privacy, AI auditing, climate justice, creator protection, democratizing data, and open infrastructure. The program prioritizes community impact over maximizing profit or pursuing scale for its own sake.
Fellows pursue independent innovation or work embedded with civil society organizations. Alongside their projects, they join a global cohort spanning disciplines and career stages. In-person gatherings and ongoing collaboration support relationship-building, problem-solving, and leadership development. Fellows extend their impact through open resources, conference presentations, publications, and campaigns that help others learn from and build on their work.
