Description
Mozilla Foundation’s Incubator helps values-driven technologists bridge the gap between promising prototypes and sustainable alternatives. It backs tools that are open, transparent, and designed to serve people and communities. Its central goal is “product-community fit”: connecting projects with the users, contributors, mentors, and funders who can sustain their work without compromising their values. Support combines funding, expert mentorship, peer learning, visibility, and pathways to further funding.
The Democracy x AI cohort focuses on technologies that strengthen democratic life while keeping human judgment central. Its areas of work include institutional trust and accountability, information integrity, and protecting and expanding civic space. Projects explore approaches such as making public information accessible, supporting community deliberation, exposing censorship, and improving transparency around government AI use.
