Summary: Accelerates open, community-centered tech projects from prototype to sustainability with funding, mentorship, and global network support.
The Mozilla Foundation Incubator supports technologists building open, transparent, and community-driven alternatives to mainstream technology. The program is designed to help projects transition from prototype to sustainable impact, focusing on achieving "product-community fit" through expert mentorship, community building, and tailored pathways to additional funding. Two main tracks are available: the Build Track, for projects with early traction seeking to grow and deepen community engagement; and the Sustain Track, for more proven technologies aiming for long-term sustainability. Participants benefit from access to a global network, peer learning opportunities, and increased visibility, with the goal of demonstrating that technology can serve people and communities over profit.
