Description
This grant supports the organisation of the European Researchers’ Night and the implementation of the Researchers at Schools initiative under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) within Horizon Europe. The programme aims to bridge the gap between research and society by promoting research careers, making science accessible to all, and highlighting the European dimension of research. Activities should target the general public, with special emphasis on young people, families, pupils, and those with limited access to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) fields. Proposals must address both initiatives:
- European Researchers’ Night: An annual, Europe-wide public event held on the last Friday of September, featuring exhibitions, hands-on experiments, debates, science shows, and more.
- Researchers at Schools: Brings researchers into schools and school classes to research facilities, fostering direct interaction between researchers and pupils on societal challenges and the role of research.
Both streams should promote inclusiveness, gender balance, diversity, and geographical spread, and encourage partnerships and synergies with related programmes.
