    Description

MSCA COFUND 2027 is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions initiative under Horizon Europe that co-funds new or existing doctoral programmes at regional, national or international level. It supports research training in any discipline, with exceptional scope for focused programmes linked to national or regional smart specialisation strategies. Its goals include stronger research and transferable skills, improved career prospects within and beyond academia, and better networking and communication with scientific peers and the public.

Programmes combine compulsory international mobility with training, supervision, mentoring and career guidance. Cross-sectoral experience, interdisciplinarity and collaboration with non-academic partners are encouraged. Training priorities include digital skills, Open Science, knowledge valorisation, research integrity and, where applicable, innovation and entrepreneurship. Participating organisations are expected to strengthen research capacity, improve the quality and sustainability of doctoral training, and feed research results into teaching.
