Description
British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships offer outstanding early-career researchers in the humanities and social sciences three years of support to strengthen their research and teaching experience. The scheme prioritises an independent project leading to a significant piece of publishable research, while helping fellows develop their academic CV and prospects of securing a permanent academic post. It is administered by the British Academy and funded by the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology.
UEA’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities selects candidates through an internal outline application process. Fellows become integrated into their host School and join a community of postdoctoral researchers and established academics. Selected applicants receive support from their mentor and UEA Research and Innovation Services. Both the Academy and UEA emphasise scholarly significance, research excellence and project feasibility.
