Funder: Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC)

Due Dates: October 30, 2026, noon Eastern Time (Enhanced White Paper)

Funding Amounts: Focus Area 10A: approximately $3 million per award; 10B: approximately $1.5 million (up to 36 months); Focus Area 15: $10.5 million total (up to 48 months)

Summary: Supports military-relevant medical prototypes and knowledge products that improve readiness, prevention, and battlefield care.

Key Information: Prime performers must be MTEC members in good standing at least three days before submission.

    Description

MTEC is soliciting medical prototype technologies and knowledge solutions in partnership with the Government through its prototype Other Transaction Agreement. Proposed solutions may include medical techniques, knowledge products, devices, drugs, and biologics. The program seeks to modernize medical capabilities for future conflicts, including care in austere or contested environments where evacuation, infrastructure, and specialist support may be limited.

The 15 focus areas cover National Guard prevention and wellbeing, help-seeking, traumatic wound infection and sepsis, infectious disease countermeasures, pre-hospital musculoskeletal injury care, acute pain and anesthesia, and blast or blunt-impact exposure monitoring. Projects must have preliminary evidence rather than be exploratory concepts. Each Enhanced White Paper must address exactly one focus area, although applicants may submit multiple papers.
