The Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Advanced Transportation Innovation Hub is a statewide initiative aimed at accelerating the development and commercialization of innovative technologies in the mobility and transportation sectors. Operated by Innovation Partnerships at the University of Michigan, the program funds early- and mid-stage translational research projects that address unmet market needs in areas such as electrification, grid and battery technologies, advanced manufacturing, robotics, autonomy, materials, infrastructure, and more. Projects are milestone-driven and benefit from mentorship, commercialization guidance, proposal development support, and industry connections. The program seeks to increase the number of startups and industry collaborations in Michigan, fueling economic growth and innovation.
