Description
The American Otological Society (AOS), through its Research Foundation, supports multi-site clinical studies that establish collaborative infrastructure and preliminary coordination for larger clinical trials in otology and neurotology. The Multi-Centered Clinical Cooperative Seed Grant launches in 2026 as part of the AOS Research Fund, which supports academic research related to the ear, helps surgeons and scientists develop their academic careers, and seeks to improve patient care.
Research may address ear disorders or the normal functions of the cochlea, labyrinth, and central auditory or vestibular systems. Applicants must connect their work to improved understanding, diagnosis, or treatment of otological disorders. AOS welcomes research addressing quality and safety of care or education and training in otology, and particularly supports junior investigators and exploratory research too novel to attract other funding.
