--- ## Description This one-year fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, offers comprehensive multidisciplinary training in the diagnosis and management of non-neoplastic and neoplastic breast diseases. The program is designed for physicians seeking advanced expertise in breast pathology, with rotations through major clinical disciplines such as breast diagnostic clinic, imaging, surgery (including reconstructive), medical oncology, radiation oncology, and medical genetics. Fellows review a high volume of consultation cases, gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic techniques (e.g., immunohistochemistry, FISH for HER2 testing), and are encouraged to participate in clinicopathological research. The fellowship prepares graduates for academic or high-volume private practice careers in breast pathology. --- ## Due Dates - August 15, 2026: Completed application and all required documentation deadline (annual; applications must be submitted no later than Aug. 15) - Previous cycles have also used the August 15 deadline. --- ## Funding Amount - One fellowship position is available each year. - Fellows receive standard Mayo Clinic Graduate Medical Education (GME) stipend and benefits for the one-year duration. - The GME stipend is competitive and includes health, dental, and other benefits. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must have a medical degree (MD or equivalent). - Completion of U.S. or Canadian specialty training in anatomic pathology is required. - Eligibility for appointment to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs is necessary (see [Admissions requirements](https://college.mayo.edu/academics/residencies-and-fellowships/admissions-and-benefits/)). - International medical graduates may apply if they meet equivalent training and credentialing standards. --- ## Application Process 1. **Application Submission**: Apply online via the [Mayo Clinic application portal](https://mccms.elluciancrmrecruit.com/Apply/Account/Login).
