The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides competitive grants to encourage economic development and ensure a safe, reliable transportation system across Pennsylvania. Funding is available for the development, rehabilitation, and enhancement of transportation assets in existing communities. Eligible projects include improvements to streetscapes, lighting, sidewalks, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets, and transit-oriented development. The program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) in partnership with the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).
