This award provides U.S. scholars with the opportunity to teach, conduct research, or combine both activities at universities or academic institutions in Uzbekistan. The program aligns with Uzbekistan’s higher education reforms, offering scholars a chance to contribute to curriculum modernization, faculty development, and academic administration while engaging in cross-cultural exchange. Host institutions are particularly interested in STEM, geology, mining, business, and curriculum design, but proposals from a broad range of disciplines are welcome. Scholars may teach undergraduate or graduate courses, mentor students, assist in curriculum development, and/or pursue independent or host-designated research projects. The experience is further enriched by Uzbekistan’s unique cultural heritage and a supportive academic environment.
