    Description

This opportunity offers U.S. scholars the chance to teach, conduct research, or carry out professional projects in Oman through placements at higher education institutions across a wide range of disciplines. Scholars may design and deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advise or mentor students, assist in curriculum development, or engage in research projects—either proposed by the host or initiated by the scholar. Professional projects could include public lectures, artist residencies, organizational consulting, or other developmental initiatives supporting the host institution’s needs.

The program is designed to strengthen academic ties and foster mutual understanding between the U.S. and Oman. Activities and course assignments are finalized in consultation with the U.S. Embassy in Oman and the host institution, subject to approval by both the host and the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
