Description
The Music Therapy Impact Fund at North Valley Community Foundation expands access to high-quality, research-informed music therapy throughout Butte County. Its goal is to establish music therapy as a standard part of healthcare by strengthening existing programs, developing new programs that meet community needs, and reducing financial barriers to participation.
The fund supports music therapy, music-based wellness, and therapeutic services that improve quality of life and physical, social, communicative, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual wellbeing. Current services include therapeutic choirs, hospice and palliative care music therapy, and individual scholarships. These programs use music purposefully to support healing, rehabilitation, emotional expression, and meaningful participation at little to no cost to participants.
