Description
The National Art Education Foundation (NAEF) is an independent philanthropic organization and sister organization of the National Art Education Association (NAEA). It invests in innovative initiatives supporting instructional practice, research, and leadership in visual arts education. Its five grant categories support professional development, curriculum integration, instructional models, teaching strategies, classroom resources, and research.
Professional development and equipment grants emphasize the National Visual Arts Standards. Other categories support classroom-based action research, curriculum and policy models, and scholarly investigations demonstrating the importance of arts education to student learning through measurable outcomes and hard data. NAEF shares NAEA’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and especially encourages eligible members who belong to, or teach in settings serving, historically marginalized groups.
