--- ## Description The National Art Education Foundation (NAEF), affiliated with the National Art Education Association (NAEA), provides annual grants to support innovative initiatives in visual arts education. Funding is available for professional development, classroom-based action research, curriculum development, equipment, and scholarly research projects. Grants are intended to advance instructional practice, research, and leadership among NAEA members, and ultimately to improve student learning and the field of art education. NAEF encourages proposals that foster equity, diversity, and inclusion, and especially welcomes applications from members working with historically marginalized groups. --- ## Due Dates - October 1, 2025: Submission deadline for the 2026–2027 NAEF Grant Cycle (full application due by October 1, 11:59 pm ET). - October 1, 2026: Annual NAEF Grants full application deadline (recurring annual deadline: applications due October 1, 11:59 pm ET) --- ## Funding Amount - Ruth Halvorsen Professional Development Grant: up to $3,000 - Mary McMullan Grant: up to $3,000 - Teacher Incentive Grant: up to $3,000 - SHIP Grant (equipment): up to $1,000 - NAEF Research Grant: up to $10,500 All grants are for a one-year project period (July 1–June 30 following notification).
