Description
The NASA Hubble Fellowship Program (NHFP) supports promising postdoctoral scientists conducting independent research that contributes to any area of NASA Astrophysics. Research may use theory, observation, experimentation, or instrument development. The program fosters scientific excellence and leadership, supporting work at eligible host institutions chosen by fellows in the United States or its territories.
The Space Telescope Science Institute administers NHFP for NASA in collaboration with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the NASA Exoplanet Science Institute at Caltech, and the Chandra X-ray Center at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. The program unites the formerly separate Einstein, Hubble, and Sagan fellowships. Proposed research must demonstrate relevance to NASA Astrophysics, but need not relate to a specific NASA mission. Solar System, solar, and Earth research may qualify when that relevance is clear.
