Geosphere is an Earth Science program element within NASA’s Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES)-2025 solicitation, administered by the Science Mission Directorate. ROSES supports a broad range of basic and applied research and technology through individual program elements with their own topics and requirements. Geosphere was added to the solicitation by an amendment on October 2, 2026.
The A.18 Geosphere announcement defines the specific research opportunity. The A.1 Earth Science Research Program Overview provides the managing division’s research context and may impose additional proposal requirements, while the ROSES Summary of Solicitation supplies common requirements. Geosphere proposals undergo dual anonymous peer review, and the Science/Technology/Management section is limited to 10 pages.
