The American Chemical Society’s National Chemical Technical Professional Award honors excellence and professionalism among people working in applied chemical technology. It is a community recognition award for professional accomplishments and contributions, rather than funding for a proposed research project. The award recognizes chemical technicians, process operators, laboratory analysts, and other applied chemical technology professionals.
Administered by ACS Chemical Technical Professionals (CTP), the award considers technical achievement alongside leadership, mentoring, communications and publications, awards received, community activities, and contributions to quality, safety, and other initiatives. The winner receives a cash award and plaque, with presentation at a luncheon during the ACS Spring meeting and travel expenses provided.
