National Cyber Hubs is a Digital Europe Programme initiative implemented by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC). It supports new or existing national centres that detect, gather, store and analyse cybersecurity threat data and share cyber threat intelligence. The emphasis is on continuing activities initiated in previous years, strengthening collaboration with public and private cybersecurity actors, and delivering early warnings to critical infrastructure.
The grant supports preparatory activities, stakeholder cooperation and operating costs, complementing joint procurement of infrastructure, tools and services. Capacity building encompasses automation, threat intelligence feeds, secure information exchange and interconnection with Cross-Border Cyber Hubs. Expected outcomes also include targeted training based on the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework and applications that automatically notify public and private actors about compromised or insecure systems.
