    Description

The NIH Parent F32 fellowship supports promising postdoctoral researchers through individualized research training under appropriate faculty sponsors. The integrated research and training program must address the candidate’s identified training needs and career goals, strengthen their potential for independent investigation, and prepare them for the next stage of a biomedical research career. Applications are expected to incorporate exceptional mentorship.

Training should build skills in rigorous research design, experimental methods, quantitative approaches, and data analysis, alongside opportunities to publish, present findings, and develop professional skills. Research must fit the mission and requirements of a participating NIH Institute or Center. Candidates cannot lead an independent clinical trial, but may gain experience in a trial led by a sponsor or co-sponsor.
