Description
Sigma and the National League for Nursing (NLN) jointly support research that advances the science of nursing education and learning through the use of technology in disseminating knowledge. The award is intended for a nurse researcher or doctoral dissertation student whose study connects technology, knowledge dissemination, and nursing education.
Supported research must address one or more NLN Research Priorities in Nursing Education. These priorities connect nursing education with the science of learning, building evidence to guide educators in preparing nurses who deliver excellent health care. The award is funded by a gift from Dr. Diane Billings to the Sigma Foundation for Nursing's research endowment, and Sigma administers the funding.
