Description
The National Mentoring Community Emergency and Experience Grants (EMERGE) program, administered by the American Physical Society (APS), supports students pursuing physics degrees who are active National Mentoring Community (NMC) mentees. The program provides two types of funding:
- Emergency grants for students facing sudden financial hardships that threaten their ability to continue their physics studies.
- Experience grants to help cover costs associated with professional development activities, such as attending conferences or workshops, that enhance academic and career growth in physics.
The EMERGE program aims to foster the success and advancement of mentees within the physics community by addressing urgent financial needs and supporting professional development.
