This scheme funds major collaborative research projects between Hong Kong and Mainland China, with the goal of fostering synergy and impactful research outcomes that leverage the strengths of both regions. Supported disciplines include Information Technology, Life Science, New Materials Science, Marine and Environmental Science, Medicine, and Management Science. Projects must be cross-disciplinary and/or involve more than one university, and require joint submission by Hong Kong and Mainland China teams. The program emphasizes long-term partnerships and scientific innovation, typically supporting projects of four years’ duration.
