Description
This scheme is designed to foster large-scale, interdisciplinary research collaborations between researchers in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland. It targets six priority areas: Information Technology, Life Science, New Materials Science, Marine and Environmental Science, Medicine, and Management Science, but proposals in "Other" areas are also considered. Projects must be jointly developed and submitted by teams from both regions, aiming to leverage complementary strengths and achieve significant scientific innovation and societal impact. Each project is expected to last four years, with funding provided separately by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for their respective sides.
