The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)/Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong Joint Research Scheme (JRS) aims to promote and support collaborative research and academic conferences between researchers in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland. The scheme targets six key research areas: Information Technology, Life Science, New Materials Science, Marine and Environmental Science, Medicine, and Management Science. Proposals that leverage complementary strengths from both regions are encouraged, and up to two conference grants are available annually for events held in Hong Kong. The scheme is designed to advance research excellence, foster knowledge exchange, and build long-term partnerships between the two regions.
