Description
The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)/Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong Young Research Scheme (YRS) is designed to nurture junior academics at the early stages of their careers by supporting collaborative research between young researchers in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland. The scheme emphasizes cross-regional partnerships and aims to foster synergy in six designated fields: Information Technology, Life Science, New Materials Science, Marine and Environmental Science, Medicine, and Management Science. Projects are expected to last four years and are jointly assessed by both the NSFC and the RGC, focusing on scientific merit, innovation, collaborative effectiveness, and long-term impact.
