Due Dates (Anticipated): October 2027 (Application deadline)
Funding Amounts: Up to 12 grants fully covering national conference registration fees
Summary: Access Grants help NOA members facing financial barriers attend the national conference and participate in its exchange of ideas and best practices.
Key Information: Applicants must be Individual or Organizational members of NOA at application; student members are not eligible.
The National Opera Association (NOA) offers Access Grants to help people who might otherwise be unable to attend its national conference. The program removes the cost of conference registration, allowing recipients to participate in the exchange of ideas and best practices across the NOA community. It is conference-attendance support rather than funding for a research project.
Through expanded access, NOA seeks to welcome new members, strengthen the diversity and vibrancy of the organization, and cultivate future leaders who will advance its legacy. Selection preferences recognize barriers to institutional travel support, contributions to conference programming, first-time attendance, HBCU faculty participation, and applicants’ potential contributions to the organization.
