Description

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful partners with America250PA, with support from EQT Corporation and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, to support volunteer-led community improvements tied to National Pennsylvania Day. The initiative strengthens America250PA’s volunteer component and encourages residents to improve their communities through cleanups, park improvements, revitalization efforts, river sweeps, graffiti abatement, murals, and related activities.

The program connects local volunteer service with the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Established by Pennsylvania’s legislature and Governor in 2018, America250PA coordinates that commemoration, highlights Pennsylvania’s integral role, and recognizes its people’s contributions to the nation’s past, present, and future. The initiative emphasizes statewide participation and community pride under the theme “Pennsylvanians helping Pennsylvanians.”
