Description
Introduced in 2021, the Wyoming Arts Council’s Native Art Fellowship recognizes the excellence and cultural impact of Native artists based in Wyoming. The competitive award is open across artistic disciplines, including visual, literary, performing, and folk and traditional arts. Selection is based on the strength of each artist’s portfolio rather than a proposed project.
The fellowship is part of the Council’s effort to support Wyoming’s cultural arts and traditions, raise the visibility of Indigenous artists, and celebrate work rooted in tribal identity and expression. The Council works with recipients to identify a venue or showcase where they can share their work publicly.
