Description
Native Forward Scholars Fund established the Community Impact Research Funding Program to assist doctoral candidates pursuing research on issues impacting Indian Country. The program focuses on the practical costs of collecting and analyzing data, rather than a particular academic field or discipline.
The one-time award helps offset direct research expenses, including travel, supplies, and data analysis tools or subscriptions. It also supports paid services used in the research process, including transcription, analysis, analysis review, and editing. Applicants must document their Tribal enrollment or descendancy and doctoral candidacy, and provide a budget describing how the funds will be used.
