Description
The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards this annual prize to make exceptional nature and technology teaching in primary schools across the Danish Realm more visible. It recognizes teachers whose work in the early and middle years helps children become interested in science and technology. A teacher may be nominated individually or as part of a team from the same school.
Selection considers inspiring teaching methods that candidates develop, use or share; participation in science activities beyond the classroom; collaboration across subjects or educational stages; and contributions to a stimulating science-learning environment for colleagues. Candidates do not need to meet every criterion. The prize also gives the recipient’s school resources to develop its science teaching.
