Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) offers annual competitive grants to support the implementation and development of Natural Community Conservation Plans (NCCPs) and Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs) throughout California. Funding is available through several programs, including the NCCP Local Assistance Grant (LAG) Program and federal Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund (Nontraditional Section 6), to assist with urgent, high-priority conservation planning and habitat protection tasks. Eligible projects include management, restoration, monitoring, mapping, and other activities essential for effective plan implementation, particularly those that go above and beyond required mitigation.
