Description
The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards this annual prize to recognize exceptional educational work in the early-childhood curriculum theme of nature, outdoor life, and science. It is intended for educators in day care institutions across the Kingdom of Denmark whose work gives children positive experiences with these subjects and mathematical awareness.
The central criterion is a distinctive contribution to that curriculum theme. The prize also highlights approaches that spark children’s interest in science and technology, help them investigate numbers and natural phenomena, and share useful methods with colleagues. Everyday investigations and experiments involving children and adults are among the approaches that may be considered.
