Description
NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants provide unrestricted general operating support through Comcast NBCUniversal and NBC and Telemundo-owned television stations. The program supports nonprofits addressing everyday community interests and needs in 11 participating television markets. Applications are assessed on an organization’s overall work and local impact, rather than a single project.
The program funds three focus areas: Youth Education and Empowerment, Next Generation Storytellers, and Community Engagement. Supported work includes STEM/STEAM education, academic enrichment, youth development and entrepreneurship; pathways into communications, arts, news, sports and entertainment; and activities that strengthen community unity through participation and volunteering. Community engagement examples include citizen engagement programs and campaigns addressing food insecurity or health-service needs.
