--- ## Description This grant program, offered by the Polk County Community Foundation, is designed to help local nonprofits join the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits by covering the cost of their first-year membership dues. Membership in the Center provides organizations with access to valuable training, resources, and support, enhancing their efficiency, strength, and expertise. The initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader capacity-building efforts to empower local nonprofits so they can better serve and positively impact the community. --- ## Due Dates - June 2026: Full application deadline for 2nd Quarter competitive grant cycle (anticipated/projected) - September 2026: Full application deadline for 3rd Quarter competitive grant cycle (anticipated/projected) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - The grant covers the full cost of first-year membership dues for the N.C. Center for Nonprofits. - Award size is determined by the actual dues required for the applicant organization. - Funding is limited to first-year dues only; subsequent renewals are not covered. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be nonprofit organizations serving Polk County, NC or the surrounding area (including Landrum, SC). - The grant is intended for nonprofits seeking to become first-time members of the N.C.
