Description
The National Communication Association’s Research Cultivation Grant supports first-time grant-seeking and helps scholars build a foundation for future grant pursuits. This seed-funding program supports projects with the potential to make significant contributions to the study and practice of communication, while advancing NCA’s mission to foster professional success in research.
Supported work includes innovative research in understudied domains or using novel or creative methodologies; research promoting IDEA as defined in NCA’s strategic plan, particularly work focused on historically marginalized groups; and engaged scholarship. Engaged projects may mobilize research in non-academic contexts to address pressing social, civic, and ethical concerns or translate communication theory into practice.
