The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) and Carol Darling, Ph.D., CFLE, sponsor this grant to integrate research into the practice of Family Life Education (FLE). First awarded in 2024, it supports educators, researchers, and programs that need research to sustain their projects and services. The broad call encourages innovative work that contributes to Family Science, particularly FLE.
Potential projects include evaluating specific FLE programs, identifying design and implementation practices for demographic, racial, ethnic, cultural, or historically marginalized groups, and comparing in-person and online delivery. Research may also examine how state laws affect program dissemination or how FLE is implemented internationally. Researcher-practitioner collaboration is one possible approach. Incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion is desirable where applicable, but is not required.
