    Description

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications for P30 Cancer Center Support Grants (CCSGs) to support NCI-Designated Cancer Centers. The CCSG program funds three types of cancer centers:

    • Comprehensive Cancer Centers: Must demonstrate substantial research depth and breadth across basic laboratory, clinical, and prevention/control/population-based research, including significant transdisciplinary activity.
    • Clinical Cancer Centers: Focus on basic laboratory, clinical, and/or prevention, cancer control, and population-based research, or a combination.
    • Basic Cancer Centers: Emphasize basic laboratory research.

The intent is to leverage institutional cancer research capabilities, integrating meritorious research into a unified, transdisciplinary enterprise. Centers are expected to serve as hubs of discovery for cancer biology, prevention, diagnosis, and therapy; develop and share research resources; collaborate with other NCI-funded programs; and disseminate findings to benefit the broader community.
