NCSRP FY2027 Funding Opportunities RFP supports university researchers and extension teams studying soybean weed management to improve productivity, profitability, and stewardship for North Central growers.
Funder: North Central Soybean Research Program
Due Dates (Anticipated): May 2027 (Proposal deadline)
Funding Amounts: Multi-year proposals accepted for up to 3 years, with annual renewal
Summary: Supports collaborative soybean research and outreach that improve yield, profitability, quality, and environmental stewardship for North Central growers.
Key Information: The FY2027 RFP limits new proposals to soybean weed management; renewals are not subject to this restriction.
The North Central Soybean Research Program (NCSRP) is a farmer-led organization combining soybean checkoff investments from 13 member states. It supports university research and extension programs, basic and applied research, student and postdoctoral training, and communications that deliver practical short- and long-term benefits to soybean producers in the North Central region.
The FY2027 RFP seeks collaborative, multi-state, multidisciplinary projects. New proposals must focus on weed management within soybean cropping systems, including herbicide-resistant weeds, input costs, improving existing tools, cultural or mechanical practices, and non-traditional control strategies. Researchers seeking renewal of existing multi-year projects may address other research topics. Across projects, NCSRP emphasizes tangible farmer benefits, measurable progress, cost-efficient research, and effective communication of findings to growers.
