--- ## Description This award honors a member of the LGBTQIA+ community who has made a significant contribution to the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and its professional community. The focus is on recognizing service, scholarship, teaching, and advocacy that strengthen inclusivity within NCTE, foster cross-community connections, and support diverse leaders in literacy education.
